So I received an email from the good folks at MacUpdate, saying that they have listed Sound Booster. They also asked if there is a demo version available that is independent of the Mac App Store.
This got me thinking, because when the idea of Sound Booster was conceived, I wanted to make a free version with basic features, then add In App Purchases for the more advanced features that people might want. However, Apple did not allow this on their App Store due to a conflict with their policies, so I scrapped that plan and made the entire app a one-time-purchase of $5.99.
So, after this kind reminder from MacUpdate, I got to work and produced a Lite version of Sound Booster that is independent of the Mac App Store. It has system-wide volume boosting for all running apps, boosting volume for mp3 files on all devices, etc, all for FREE. For more features like a system-wide equalizer, individual volume adjustments, and other advanced features, one could easily upgrade to the full App Store version.
So there you have it. Download Sound Booster Lite now and enjoy system-wide volume boosting for free!
Sound Booster Light will not work with Big Sur. will there be a fix?
Dear Developer, I have been using SondBooster Lite for quite some time on Mac 10.15. I was happy, every time when I activated SoundBooster Lite due to my bad hearing there was a white dot below in the dock. So I was sure SBlite was active. Now, after a new installation, there is no dot. Whatever I do (install again over the prior version, re-install on plain Mac drive), it does not show re-activation and--- there is no sound improvement, so I must turn the system regulators far up. Up the now, no neighbor has grumbled, I don't want this to happen. So please can you help me? kind regards and God's blessings in this pandemic-ridden time.
Please see the comment below, the uninstaller is at https://froyosoft.com/UninstallSoundBooster.zip
How do I uninstall the driver?
Uninstall the APP but I see n in the sound preferences panel. I want to remove the driver
Hi, often when the Sound Booster app is open (even if the boosting is turned off) when auto-hiding the dock, the dock stops popping back up and I have to press the big X to close it and have the dock back. Did you ever hear about this bug? Currently I'm using OSX 10.11 but I always remember having this issue. Thanks for developing this app, it's the best and I love it!
Hi Peter, to completely remove Sound Booster, please download and run the uninstaller here: http://froyosoft.com/UninstallSoundBooster.zip
